Relevant Accomplishments
- Lead Team Member responsible for designing and building a brand new $3M facility. The project manager responsible for defining building requirements and assisting with the design of the facility. Responsible for selecting and sourcing new production and building equipment. Designed and executed the production floor layout. Coordinated and executed the plant relocation to the new facility.
- Led crisis management and recovery of an $20M Iron Foundry after a fire. Fire and Fire Department decimated factory operations. Responsible for defining and executing an outsourcing plan with 14 partner foundries to keep customers supplied. Managed recovery efforts to bring parts of the factory back online within 3 months and orchestrated all efforts for full recovery within the year.
- One of initial 200 Team Members responsible for launching a brand-new Toyota facility and product. Worked as a Manufacturing Engineer to bring Company A online and launch the Y car. Specifically responsible for Assembly and Assembly Conveyance coordinating the development of the kanban system, JIT material handling, programing the manufacturing line control system, procuring material handling equipment and designing conveyance workflows. During her tenure at Company A, she managed engineering changes for the Assembly Department and directed the assembly activities for the build-out and model change of the 2000 to 2001 Tundra resulting in the change-over being completed ahead of schedule and within 4 hours. Andrea also supervised a team of 44 hourly employees across two shifts delivering parts to the assembly line.
- Directed operations and quality for a $250M business across 3 global factories. Drove continuous improvement resulting in warranty rates less than .08% of sales and product return rates less than 250 PPM. Achieved 100% production service level with scrap costs $.15 per unit with no safety recordables. Deployed a risk mitigation strategy for production protecting 44% of revenue and 49% of gross profit in the event of a crisis.
- Developed the #1 company strategic initiative to globally align business processes. While directing the $27M, 19-site migration to an Oracle ERP Single Instance, implemented a business process harmonization team to align processes for more efficient ERP transformations. The initiative resulted in 20% faster implementations with 20% cost savings.
- Designed and implemented a global new product development process. Developed a stage/gate project management system used globally in 17 different sites and 14 different countries. Created all content for the system and trained all global stakeholders and users. Implementation also included the introduction of a product lifecycle management digital tool resulting in a $3.6M cost reduction.
- Managed the $750K technology transfer of a key product line to Russia. Recreated the manufacturing line for the top product in the United States at an acquisition facility in Chelyabinsk, Russia within one year. Worked directly with Russian colleagues and traveled back and forth to launch the manufacturing and product in the Russian market.
