  • Managed sales function, ECN’s, & quoting activities. Renegotiated contract pricing and terms resulting in $10M/yr improvement to bottom line
  • Managed production ramp-down & commercial negotiations associated with the exit of a ~$17M/yr seating program.
  • Managed CVG’s plastic & interior trim product line commercial and implemented the business strategy.
  • Supported wiper systems and structures product lines commercially.
  • Expanded sales team and spearheaded marketing activities resulting in wins totaling ~$150M LTR at 10%+ OI
  • Expanded business in new and core markets through development of employees, marketing initiatives, investment in software/systems/capital equipment, and leading team members to initiate objectives.
  • Responsible for sales, commercial activity, engineering, costing, tooling, program management, and product design activities.
  • Strengthened business unity by growing the core market through development of employees, enhancing the business unit’s culture by implementing a customer-centric, solution provider mentality, and inspiring team members to function as an extension of the customer.
  • Technical Sales – met with customers, identified pain points, developed solutions, quoted & won ~$50M/yr in bunk systems and headliners
  • Developed and launched AdvancTEK brand to appeal to new, non-core business, plastic markets.
  • Quoted, won, designed, tooled & launched multiple commercial vehicle engineering and production programs totaling ~$70M/yr (Mack Anthem cabinets/soft-trim/headliners, Volvo VN headliners, Freightliner Cascadia plastic/headliners/soft-trim, and multiple next-gen platforms)
  • Successfully led design, engineering, tooling, and validation resources toward successful production launch of awarded programs.
  • Managed engineering team across five manufacturing facilities. Launched Plex ERP across multiple facilities.
  • Standardized wet urethane headliner material, processing, and equipment across all facilities (PUR formulation and processing). Optimized material spend by leveraging increased annual usages.
  • Successfully developed & launched $15M/yr PACCAR soft-trim program
  • Managed due diligence activities specific to acquisition of a competitor’s assets, two facilities, and $40M book of business. Negotiated new contract terms and pricing. Standardized and merged engineering and ERP systems.
  • Leader of a cross-functional, executive-appointed team responsible for maximizing profitability through market downturns.
  • Led a cross-brand (Mack/Volvo) team towards the merger of two, heavy truck production lines, and development of a common assembly process, production system, and facility layout. Implemented kitting process to supply assembly line to reduce lineside material storage. Minimized capital investment by instituting product and process standardization
  • Hired & trained a completely new engineering team due to lack of transferees from SC facility.
  • Instilled a passion for continuous improvement in Mack’s highway product industrial engineering department by guiding team members towards optimized line balances, productivity improvements of at least 6% YOY, 20%
  • YOY quality audit score improvement, improved safety/ergonomics, and improved customer satisfaction. Staff: (10) industrial engineers, (4) vehicle engineering liaisons.
  • Developed yearly business plans, managed expense/capital budgets, and planned for future product launches and mix/volume fluctuations.
  • Successfully launched Mack Highway NGP (new chassis, suspension, air/elec routing & clamping, control systems, axles/steering/driveline, hood, cab mounting, & hybrid Mack/Volvo BOM/MRP), Mack Vision Daycab, & ‘04 compliant powertrain launch.
  • Management appointed leader responsible for planning, relocating, and launching Mack Truck’s cab/sleeper/hood production from the Winnsboro Assembly Operations (SC) to the New River Valley Truck Plant (VA)
  • Led a cross-functional team consisting of Engineering, Materials, Facilities, Quality, I.T., and Production. Successfully transferred product knowledge, equipment, processes, training, tooling, and production
  • Optimized process/line balance, safety, developed work instructions, tooling/fixturing, performed time studies & implemented layout/process improvements to improve direct labor utilization of at least 10% YOY
  • Successfully launched visibility door platform & cab refresh
