  • Successfully completed high stress, time constrained supply agreement contract with Marvell Semiconductor that ensured continuity of supply, industry leading quality, competitive pricing, rescheduling flexibility, advantageous delivery terms, executive alignment, access to advanced technology, and cost based non-recurring expenses. This resulted in providing a platform for a mutually beneficial return on investment and consistent, trusting collaboration between the companies
  • Negotiated two single source agreements with ST Microelectronics and Broadcom during an industry downturn, which created a supplier consolidation environment. Proactively committing to these suppliers ensured high caliber support terms and world-class prices resulting in savings of over $500M over the course of the contracts
  • Established the formation of commodity councils, which were a cross functional team tasked with forming, vetting, and communicating sourcing strategy for new product development and high volume production. Team was comprised of commodity management, tactical procurement, quality, design engineering, manufacturing operations, and integration engineering. Primary deliverable included strategic sourcing plan consisting of alignment of components to hard drive programs, partner selection, and supply chain risk mitigation plans
  • Managed annual component expenditure upwards of ~$2B at the peak of storage market growth
  • Achieved 1.5%-3% savings per quarter across all electrical commodities through negotiations, consolidation of supply base during storage market decline, and qualification of new suppliers and alternate components
  • Developed robust continuity of supply plans that resulted in 0 revenue impacting line down situations
  • Conducted quarterly business reviews with key suppliers measuring performance in the areas of cost competitiveness, delivery, responsiveness, quality and innovation
  • Created and managed manual excel spreadsheets for tracking all electrical component costs within PBCA and PCCA BOM’s for tracking monthly changes. Developed automated excel macros from that data to populate supplier unit and revenue forecasts. Led team in transition of manual spreadsheets to two different BOM Cost Applications to help automate data for finance use in calculation of fully burdened cost.
  • Developed highly talented and competent commodity management staff, deploying and maturing best practices and standard work, leveraging commodity strategies and Seagate procurement tools
