Summary
This Interim R&D Chemist-Coatings is a chemist with an extensive background in coatings research, development, formulation, and commercialization. In his 34 years with worldwide coatings leader PPG Industries, he developed numerous new coating technologies and moved many of them to successful commercial products. While doing so he earned more than 20 US and World patents. He was also responsible for training new hire chemists in research and formulation approaches. His strengths as a researcher and coating formulator include making small to moderate changes to formulations to solve problems or improve properties. Also, when necessary, he has worked to develop new technologies and/or brought existing technologies to new applications. He is a strong mentor and coach as well.

- In recent work with the US Navy at their research center in Washington DC, he has worked with teams to develop sophisticated coatings/systems for specialized military applications. In this role he also mentored less experienced chemists with their projects.
- Developed many coating products for the market during his 34 year career at PPG Industries. Advanced to Senior Development Chemist and provided leadership for new products and enhancing existing products. Known as an expert in coat formulation and reformulation.
