Summary

This senior M&A and finance leader who has extensive experience in transactions working with mid-market companies and Private Equity firms to achieve deal economics. He has held senior finance leadership roles working closely with CFOs and other C-Suite executives to provide insights and solutions to mitigate risks and maximize deal returns. Greg’s transaction experience includes working directly with deal teams and client management teams to drive transaction and operational economics. In addition, he has sold and led numerous global integrations, divestitures, value creation, transformation and performance improvement projects.

His deep M&A experience includes leading excutive teams to develop develop exit strategies including building pitch books, bid evalution, due diligence as well as working closely with potential buyers to address and resolve issues to drive deal value. He is comfortable working with cross-functional leaders to identify deal drivers, collect and assess financial data required to support the and manage buyer questions. He is a team player who collaborates working across functions and levels to develop innovative solutions that accelerate transaction and project timelines while ensuring the deal/project economics are achieved.

Relevant Accomplishments

  • Advised and led post-merger integration of $50m family-owned business acquired by a PE firm. Responsible for integrated business into PE platform business. Established IMO and led integration teams to achieve deal timeline while minimizing costs and driving overall value creation. Led deal communication with sell side executives, buy side CFO and PE Partners to address and resolve major deal issues.
  • Led integration of privately held consumer business for a PE-owned portfolio company. Provided pre-close merger integration services including operational due diligence to rationalize manufacturing footprint and identify operational synergies for a major private equity firm
  • Advised and led $20m+ acquisition of two European PE-owned businesses for a major US consumer product company. The activities included operational due diligence, valuation/synergy analysis and integration support.
  • Advised and led a $1.2B acquisition of a PE-owned beverage by a public beverage company. The activities included operational due diligence, valuation/synergy analysis and integration support.
  • Led teams to prepare buy side synergy business cases to support PE investment theses and auction bids. Worked with PE operating partners to define key assumptions and EBITDA synergies.
