- Created a new altitude acclimation product and formed a startup with two other partners. It is now sold on Amazon and through a Shopifywebsite.
- Managed the labeling, regulatory, contract packing, ingredients and 3PL logistics for Amazon, Shopify and distribution to brick and motor retailers.
- Helped design and formulate a new to the market cannabis-based soda. Also managed the labeling, regulatory issues and quality assurance programs for the contract manufacturer. The product has been successful for more than 5 years in the market.
- Helped a fortified kids nutritional dietary beverage product address all of the detailed regulatory concerns required for acceptance byAmazon/Whole Foods for distribution.
- Developed and managed the development and introduction of multiple innovative private label products in dietary supplements and food products for three separate retailers in the natural products sector. Worked with the business development units to assure the market success of those items to meet cost targets to assure market success
- Developed and managed the natural retail ingredient standards program for Wild Oats markets, which was industry-leading and formed the basis for ingredients standards programs for Whole Foods, Kroger and others that are still used today
- Worked with multiple startups in dietary supplements and foods in multiple categories. Advised them on product, ingredients, quality and regulatory systems and on procuring quality contract manufacturing and ingredients
- Managed overall Research and Development and was part of the Senior management team that took the company from a venture capital leveraged buyout to a publicly traded company, eventually acquired by Hain.
