Summary

This interim director of Mergers & Acquisitions has led three successful sell-side SaaS industry transactions, all to major strategic public-company buyers. He also led a fourth sell-side transaction as CEO of a firmware company (licensing and royalty model) to a major strategic public-company buyer. Additionally, he has provided sell-side advisory and consulting services to over 20 software and technology companies in helping them towards successful and optimal M&A outcomes. He was CEO of a weather analytics SaaS platform that forecast for over 45,000 MW of wind capacity and assisted in securing over $8.0 billion in financing for utility-scale wind and solar facilities on six continents. He was also CEO of several other SaaS companies. His sell-side advisory and consulting services were previously provided through a mid-market M&A firm. More recently, they have been through direct engagements. With his collaborative style, he has worked across functions on both the seller and buyer’s sides to clarify and drive deal value. Leveraging his deep M&A, finance, marketing, and strategy skills and experience, he has been successful in positioning SaaS and technology companies for maximizing returns in their exits.

  • Founded companies from the ground up, as well as being a turnaround expert for companies underperforming in sales, marketing, and engineering.
  • Grown companies from 2 employees to over 250 and grown revenues from $0 to over $30M. All companies provided technology-enabled products/services and most leveraged SAAS as their primary business model.
  • Raised growth capital of over $50 million in ten private placement offerings.
  • Led or participated in the sale or acquisition of seven companies, advised on dozens more.
  • Negotiated numerous multimillion-dollar, transformative business development deals.
