- Served as a member of the President’s Executive Committee and Cabinet
- Transformed the University’s traditional Banner Based IT organization and dis-integrated systems into a consolidated digital services infrastructure
- Provided executive, strategic, and operational management for all digital, Information, and academic technologies across all university systems and provide leadership to the technology services organization across all management and academic systems
- Defended and protected the universities cyber infrastructure, with two successful rejections and restorations of intrusions saving Brown’s data, reputation, and balance sheet
- Led data governance groups to make data securely available to those whose work required access
- Invented and implemented new Banner based digital technologies transforming the university from a traditional institution to one better integrated and connected than ever before
- Implemented a fully integrated Banner Based multi-cloud and on-premises integrated authentication and information services infrastructure
- Implemented a campus-wide portal (My.Brown.edu) and fully integrated mobile app (BrownU) allowing updates within either to be shared to the other
- Managed $45M operations budget and 230 professional personnel
- Overhauled the university’s retail management system making them more auditable, removing friction from system-to-system connectors, and providing more speed to insight for decision support
- Reimplemented all public safety / law enforcement systems to better manage physical access, communication, and integration with the Providence Fusion Center
- Implement and manage the Baldrige Criteria for Excellence in Service for Higher Education resulted in 30 innovation projects each year
- Maintained traditional information systems so they remained available, reliable, and secure
- Responded to remote learning, managing, and operational requirements within weeks of the Covid pandemic changing Brown’s traditional and almost exclusive lecture-based education operations and on campus staffing work requirement to fully on-line, concluding the first round of complete digital transformation of the university
