Relevant Accomplishments

  • Oversaw the creation of all financial management and HR functions of a start-up 55 MGPY ethanol plant. Keys to the successful operation of the company included a pervasive safety first attitude and careful monitoring of the manufacturing processes and inventories. Played a key role in the management of the plant until it was sold after 5 1/2 years netting the investors 4X of their original investments.

  • Implemented the conversion from QuickBooks to MS Dynamics Great Plains ERP for a mid-sized manufacturer. Encompassed the usual general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions plus raw materials and parts purchasing, product bills of materials and perpetual inventory.
  • Developed a sales order Excel workbook that replicated four different product order sheets incorporating customer, customer stores and the four product data bases. Enabled sales reps to create orders (previously hand written) using customer account codes and scanning product bar codes and entering quantities. Completed orders could be emailed to the company for automatic uploading into the sales and inventory ERP.
