This corporate development executive has extensive experience in M&A and strategic investment transactions working with technology (including SaaS) companies from small startups to large Fortune 500 players with more than 20 M&A and strategic investment transactions totaling over $25B.
In an in-house role with a public technology company, for value-creating consequential acquisitions, he has led and supported cross-functional M&A deal and integration teams beginning with the identification and sourcing of M&A targets required to fill capabilities gaps in the strategic plan all the way through to post-merger integration. (The integrations’ value-preservation resulted in annual cost savings of more than $360 million in COGS and more than $860 million in opex.) Interim steps include strategic rationale, LOI, diligence, valuation, negotiation of deal documentation, communications with and preparation of materials for the investment committee (composed of CEO and all direct reports). Additionally, in the in-house role, he has executed strategic investments, providing valuable market insights, and driven Board-prioritized strategic initiatives focusing on value creation and performance improvement.
As an advisor, he has worked on sell-side and buy-side engagements at two technology-focused investment banking boutiques.
