  • Provide technical support for multiple Honeywell sites in areas such as heat treatment, materials selection, additive manufacturing, and failure investigation. 
  • Consultant for metallurgy and materials & processes (M&P) engineering. Areas of expertise include: 
    • Selection and definition of materials, coatings, and special processes, particularly for aerospace applications. 
    • Development and troubleshooting for special processes such as heat treatment. 
    • Mechanical and corrosion testing of materials.  
    • Development and characterization of alloys.  
    • Facilitating interactions with vendors/processors.  
    • Technical assessments (due diligence) for investments and acquisitions. 
  • Establish metallurgical laboratory and associated capabilities from the ground up. Manage laboratory safety and equipment maintenance within the materials laboratory. 
    • Identify and develop plans to resolve current and potential metallurgical challenges within the liquid metal jetting additive manufacturing space.  
    • Develop heat treatment processes to obtain optimal microstructures and desired balance of mechanical properties for additively manufactured metal parts.  
    • Perform metallurgical analyses with tools such as microhardness, hardness, optical microscopy (metallography), and SEM.  
    • Utilize machine learning models to analyze critical processing parameters and improve 3D printed material properties.   
    • Interface with customers to address technical needs and material performance requirements.
