  • Led the successful separation of ChemoursÂ’ Global Logistics Procurement activities and build-up of a Global Logistics Group for the newly created Chemours Inc.
  • Delivered Logistics Cost Saving of almost $60M out of a total Freight, Fleet and Logistics Spend of the new Entity of $600 MM/year within the first 18 months.
  • Introduced significant Change by Centralizing and Standardizing fragmented Logistics Activities from the various business units and moving them into Corporate Logistics
  • Accountable for Re-alignment of four Global Logistics Teams with a total of over 40 employees in Asia, EU, LatAm and NAFTA.
  • Spearheaded the Implementation of a Global TMS system allowing full cost and performance transparency
  • Built a Global Logistics Procurement and Operations team from the ground up, delivering over $10M in savings in the first year (Base Spend was $100M in 2003)
  • Globally responsible for the selection and management of all international and domestic logistics service providers and accountable for global freight/distribution cost: Freight and Service procurement, spend metrics, strategic core provider relationships, forecasting/budgeting and US freight payment with an annual logistics spend of over US$150 MM in the areas of transportation, freight forwarding, fleet assets, warehousing and distribution.
  • Designed and implemented countless global and NAFTA/US Domestic logistics and supply chain solutions with emphasis on optimizing total landed costs as well as system reliability and provider performance.
  • Oversaw global duty management as well as Import/Export processes
  • Renegotiated several major contracts with Class 1 railroads. Started an active rail competitiveness initiative for three main captive production sites with long-term savings potential of over US$ 10 Million.
